Fourteen participants from countries like Serbia, Brasil, Italy, Singapore, Zambia, the USA, Japan, and Bangladesh grabbed the opportunity of traveling to Jaipur, Agra, and Delhi after the ICCGS 2023. Each one of them went back home with memories to cherish for the rest of their lives.
The I CAN Children’s Global Summit 2023, held in the vibrant city of Ahmedabad, Gujarat, from 1-3 November, was a beacon of inspiration and change. Organized by Design for Change (DFC), the global celebration showcased the remarkable power of children to effect positive transformations in their communities and beyond.
The Global Partners Meet at The Environmental Sanitation Institute connected Design for Change partners from 37+ countries. With engaging activities, insightful sessions, and shared success stories, it fostered collaboration and transformative beliefs in education and empathy.
The Riverside School, Ahmedabad, shines as the winner of the World's Best School Prizes for Innovation 2023. The 'I CAN' model is revolutionizing student-centric education
DFC Madagascar had their I CAN Celebration in the first week of November, where they invited children from 140 projects, rewarded 8 winning stories, 8 facilitators, and 3 jury prize projects.
DFC Hong Kong organized their I CAN Celebration in November, where children from 8 stories of change participated to share their projects.
DFC Singapore had their national celebration themed as 'Better Together', where 20 teams participated with children from across the country.
DFC Ghana had their national celebration themed as “Unlocked Superpowers: Reimagining the World".
A long time user, supporter and advocate of DFC, Stephan and Helena from Sweden are all set to join the DFC family.
Kiran was selected as the recipient of the prestigious Inspirational Guru Award 2023. Her relentless dedication and visionary leadership as the founder of Riverside School, Ahmedabad, have transformed education and empowered countless lives.
The Global team is actively preparing for the upcoming Global Partner Meeting (GPM) through a two-part approach: an inclusive online session fostering mutual engagement and collaborative learning, alongside a pivotal in-person gathering in Ahmedabad, India, on November 30th and December 1st, supported by a travel grant for partner attendance.
Kiran took out an hour from her personal trip to Singapore. She raised the team’s spirits to 120%. Her spirit and joy is contagious. - Madhu, DFC Singapore
Alexander Shkuratova & Alexandra Shkuratova, a father daughter duo from Cyprus who will lead DFC Cyprus. Alexander is also the founder and CEO of the Island Private School of Limassol.
