These students from India felt that elders in their community were not being respected and imagined a way to restore their dignity.
Because Elders weren't given much importance, these children imagined a way of restoring respect by making them feel useful through: collecting folktales and songs from their grandparents, organising a storytime when these will be shared with the school and making a library to access them at home and school.

This group of Colombian children found out that indigenous students were ashamed of their race so decided to recover the historical memory of their ancestors.
The students realized that they are ashamed of their race and had been ignoring the origins of their race, history, language and traditions. To address this, they created a thematic museum on their ancestor's exploitation of rubber.

The students set up a public library with non school books to help kids with curiosity to learn beyond the prescribed syllabus. They made an amazing bamboo bookshelf and filled it with books borrowed from previous users.

The children put up train route maps indicating the places where the migrant workers generally go to work, translated in local language. They have greatly helped the workers to take tickets on their own and travel independently in trains without having to read and understand the English signboards and instructions.

The children sterilized the stray dogs of the community and found families to adopt some of them. They campaigned on the importance of harmonized relations between animals and dogs. Petting stations were also set up in their school to take care of the dogs. The children made the community free from the problems of stray dogs.

The children took up the initiative to reintroduce usage of baskets in place of plastic bags just like their grandparents. They learnt and made numerous baskets and bags with newspapers and knitting material. The kids also engaged the elderly to teach weaving, bringing the almost dying tradition back.
